Soft tissue therapy in Bracknell and Wokingham

Hands-on help for runners and gym-goers

Sore after heavy sessions, or a niggle that won't settle. I find what's behind it and support you to keep training.

You might recognise this

Sound familiar?

Pain that returns when you add mileage or load
Calves, hips or hamstrings that never quite loosen
A tendon ache, such as Achilles or hip
Recovery that's slower than it used to be
A niggle you've been training around for weeks
What's often behind it

It's usually more than the sore spot

A niggle often comes from how load is spread across your whole body, not just the sore spot. Stretching and foam rolling help, and sometimes the cause is elsewhere.

I look at how you move, what's restricted and what's compensating, then treat it and agree what to adjust alongside your training.

Your first session

The Foundation Session: two hours, £99

Everyone starts here. It's long enough to work out why, and to start putting it right.

  1. I ask, then I assess

Your training, the history of the niggle and what you've tried. Then I check how you move under load, and where the strain is going.

  2. I treat what I find

Hands-on work chosen for your tissue on the day, with a clear explanation.

  3. You leave with a plan

A realistic plan for the next weeks, including simple exercises you can stick to, so treatment and training work together.

At your home or at Wokingham Therapy Clinic. No obligation to book anything after it.

Reviews

What clients say

Rebecca combined targeted treatment with easy exercises I could actually stick to. It worked far better than I expected, and I'm running comfortably again.
Max, 46Achilles pain in marathon training
The level of expertise is exemplary and has directly helped the recovery of the Army Team runners after the London Marathon. Bec was able to sort my legs out and give useful recovery advice.
SimonBritish Army Running Team
I'd tried physio, stretches and rest. Nothing fixed the hip and back pain that kept derailing my rides. Rebecca figured out what was actually going on, and a few treatments later I'm riding comfortably again.

Questions

Before you book

Should I stop training?

Not necessarily. After I've assessed you I'll tell you what I'd adjust and what's fine to keep doing.

How many sessions will I need?

I can't promise a number, because it depends on you and how your body responds. After your first session we'll have a much better idea, and there's no obligation to book more.

Will it hurt?

Some techniques can feel intense on tight areas, but pain is never the goal. I check in as we go, and you're always in control of the pressure.

Do you come to me?

Yes, or you can choose Wokingham Therapy Clinic when you book. I cover Bracknell, Wokingham, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Binfield, Warfield and Ascot.
