Specialist Soft-Tissue Therapy, Sports & Remedial Massage

I’m Rebecca, a Soft-Tissue Therapist training to the highest level, and I run The Arden Practice. My goal is to help you move better, feel better, and live pain-free through advanced soft-tissue therapy techniques tailored to your individual needs.

Whether you're struggling with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, managing muscular tension, or simply looking for a professional therapeutic massage, my treatments focus on:

  • Relieving pain & discomfort

  • Restoring mobility & function

  • Supporting injury recovery & prevention

  • Enhancing relaxation & circulation

I use a clinical, hands-on approach that goes beyond standard massage, applying proven techniques to treat both acute and long-term musculoskeletal issues.

What I Can Help With

A middle-aged man sitting on a medical examination table, clutching his stomach with a pained expression.

Persistent pain

Woman sitting at a desk with a laptop, holding her neck, appearing to experience discomfort or pain.

Desk posture or tech-neck

A young man lying on a medical examination table with his eyes closed and a digital overlay of nerves and muscles on his left knee, highlighting inflammation or pain.

Post-injury recovery

An elderly woman with gray hair, eyes closed, smiling softly with her arms raised above her head, and the image shows an overlay of her muscular and skeletal anatomy.

Support for older adults

A woman in a sports bra and leggings sitting on a yoga mat, with an illustrated overlay of her muscular anatomy on her upper body and arm.

Movement restrictions

An older woman sitting cross-legged on a bed, with her eyes closed, placing one hand on her chest and the other on her knee, appearing to be meditating or practicing mindfulness.

Chronic tension or stress

Soft Tissue Therapy vs Massage

What’s the Difference?

Massage is often associated with relaxation — and while there’s value in that, it’s not always what your body needs. If you’re dealing with persistent pain, postural tension, or a long-standing injury, you may need something more clinical, more targeted, and more intelligent.

Soft-Tissue Therapy is rooted in assessment, anatomy, and evidence. I’m currently training to Level 5 — equivalent to the second year of a university degree — with the ISRM, one of the most respected institutions in the field. (In contrast, many ‘sports massage’ practitioners are trained only to Level 3, which doesn’t cover injury treatment.)

This qualification is trusted at the highest level — ISRM-qualified Soft Tissue Therapists are now employed across Premier League clubs, national teams and elite performance settings, because the results speak for themselves.

So if traditional massage hasn’t helped — or even made things worse — you might not need a massage.
You might need something smarter.
